For all of you independent game artists and designers out there, the IndieCade 2008 festival, which is happening July 10-13 in Bellevue, Washington, has recently announced an open call for their game contest. Not only are they taking straight up art games, but also commercial, abstract, serious, and alternate reality games in a variety of interactive forms.
If you get in, your game will be featured in the gallery exhibition and judged by an international jury. The rest of the festival includes speakers, workshops, and gameplay. All of this, offered by IndieCade founder Stephanie Barish, festival Chair Celia Pearce, festival Director Sam Roberts, and Open Satellite Exhibition director Abigail Guay, will be open to the public.
The international jury is made up of industry professionals. All entries have a shot at placement in different showcase exhibitions. If you have anything, give it a shot by April 11 at midnight.
For submissions details, check out IndieCade 2008.
